"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is about a young man who murders his girlfriend, teacher, and even the judge at his own trial with his silver hammer. Considering the subject matter of the lyrics, the song itself is disturbingly upbeat. I think that's what makes it memorable overall. And of course the chorus is just catchy as hell. How can you not sing along with every "bang bang?" --- Hope rides alone ... Copied to Clipboard! |
