McDonalds has always used real eggs. It just looks weird because Americans aren't used to seeing eggs that have been poached on a grill with a metal cookie cutter.

mcdonald's doesn't poach their eggs. and poaching isn't done on a grill, either.


Technically you can poach an egg on a grill. You do not need to have the egg fully submerged in water to poach, you can poach with a small amount of water. Though, the way McDonald's cooks their eggs can't be called poaching.

that's not any way of poaching i've ever heard of it. but regardless, that's not what mcdonald's does.

indeed i have not. i find most if not all celebrity chefs to be insufferable.


Most are, but you're missing out, Good Eats was a quality show.
