I mean, there are no effects of the types of things people may assume we are talking about, thing like likelihood to land in a correctional facility for a violent crime, this is including the Singapore study that you are referencing. Though that study did find a long term effect on attitudes towards violent behavior, iirc.

Mainly, those who want to biasedly claim no effect tend to cite studies using these types of extreme outcomes.

I can't disagree with that. Writing games off as having zero effect would mean me denying they've ever had a positive influence on me as well, when things like Persona 4 have definitely shaped some of my thinking.
