Solar_Crimson 02/19/18 4:49:20 PM #1: | One of the greatest RPGs of all time followed by a lackluster game with: -No world map. -A rather dumb plot (did you really think -A tacked-on monster-collecting mechanic, that's more trouble than it's worth. -Too many party members (including the monsters and the ToS characters) when you can only take four into battle. -The ToS characters don't level up except at certain points in the plot and cap out at Level 50; they also have far less customization options than before. -Emil and Marta being awful characters. -The localizers couldn't--or wouldn't--get most of the original voice cast back to reprise their roles. -Overall a much shorter game than its predecessor. The only good things were Tenebrae, and having voiced skits (which the original ToS apparently had in the Japanese version). I understand that the main team was busy with Tales of Vesperia at the time, leaving it to the B-team to make this game, but still. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
