| Darmik 02/18/18 9:08:44 PM #61: | Killmonger is bitter because he's an oppressed minority orphan raised in the United States. There's a reason they chose the early 90's. The fucking movie begins with racial riots shown on TV. His uncle wasn't meant to be a bad man or a warmonger. He was living in a shitty time period for minorities and wanted to do something about it. It lead to him being used by Klaue, murdered by his brother and it lead to his son becoming an extremist. That's why he is filled with regret in Killmonger's vision. He's not just bitter at the Black Panther for murdering his father. He's bitter at Wakanda for letting black people live oppressed and doing nothing about it for generations. He's bitter that they could be in the same position as white people if they helped his people. That's his motivation. That's what he trains to do. He wants to make Wakanda into the colonizer country and take over the world. He even learns how to do this as an American agent. They can't just remove that angle from the movie. Getting revenge against how black people have been treated for hundreds of years is the core motivation for Killmonger. It's not just about his father. --- Kind Regards, Darmik ...
