The trailer made it seem like it was going to be a lot more gritty and badass. Most of it was not gritty or badass. I enjoyed it but also was disappointed at the CGI, the boring main villain, how they got rid of the good villain too fast, and the annoying politicizing.
The usual suspects are going to call you racist if you complain about the politicizing but it was definitely a flaw in the film. Calling white people "colonizers" just because they're white is pretty stupid.
If it wasn't for the narrative and the boring CGI it would've been great. And if the main villain was better, it would've been awesome. It dropped the ball hard. Still better than all three Thor movies though.
killmonger is literally the only interesting villain in the entire MCU.
