They're how we say that the deaths of 17 school children are tragic. They're how we prioritize the significance of some events over others. You're not the cold, unfeeling automatons you portray yourself as, and it would be bad if you were. It would be bad if you weren't emotional about the senseless, preventable deaths of 17 children.
