| Topic | Did you have National Honor Society at your high school? Describe the kids in it |
| Link165 02/17/18 12:22:25 AM #15: | We did. I was in it. It honestly wasn't a big deal. We had about 140 kids in my graduating class and I would say 50 would get in. If you had the grades and did one extracurricular and did one community service thing in the past 2 years or so (you could get inducted as early as the end of sophomore year, but very few kids got in after that), you were almost a lock to get in. Then you'd just do 30 service hours a year the next two years, 8 of which the school automatically gave you, and you'd throw it on your college application. As far as breakdown, my school wasn't incredibly diverse, but most people in it were full of themselves and liked to act like they sat on a throne.
