And point is largely that it's completely disingenuous to compare cars and guns because cars literally do not have to kill anyone to function properly and guns do.

They don't have to, actually. Most recorded instances of defensive gun use involve simply brandishing. You take out a gun, and the criminal runs away without you ever having to fire. Warning shots, or shooting someone in the leg doing no permanent damage, etc. could function just as well.

And that's not even bringing up hunting, target shooting, or whatever (which I hate to rely on because I think it's a smokescreen... make no mistake... the purpose of the second amendment is to enable the citizens to engage in armed rebellion against the government if necessary... period)
