I honestly dont know either. I feel like you do that if the FBI had come and taken his guns away beforehand, these same people would be flipping their shit The honest/cynical answer is "They want this conversation to go away." Pattern seems to be: 1. Shooting 2. Left wing howls GUN CONTROL NOW 3. Right wing distracts by pointing to any and everything other than gun control that might plausibly have made a difference 4. Trump sends a mean tweet and everyone forgets and moves on I think deep down, at their core, most people on the right agree with me. This is just the cost you have to pay to live in a free society.
