This is a successor to the Battle Royale / Hunger Games series of topics run by Evray and Stupid Pirate Guy, among several others. The difference for this incarnation is that, since I am not a fan of the Hunger Games, I have cooked up a method for running it that does not use that program.

Methodology: If you sign up, you get a number. Since there are going to be twenty-five slots, the number will be from 1 to 25. For each round, I am going to use the RNG at Random-dot-org to see which numbers encounter each other (e.g. 4 encounters 17), and then use my FATE / Fudge dice to determine if the outcome is positive or negative (e.g. I roll four minuses out of four dice, meaning a negative outcome), followed by another FATE / Fudge roll to determine which of the two numbers -- pluses for the first number, minuses for the second number -- is affected by that outcome (e.g. three pluses out of four dice rolled means 4 is affected, meaning that 17 kills 4). Because of how FATE / Fudge dice work, neutral outcomes are possible.

Once all numbers are matched and all results are decided, I write up the scenario based on those results, and the game moves to the next round. In instances where one number is not matched (e.g. the first round, since there are twenty-five slots), I roll a positive or negative outcome for the odd number out.

Naturally, this is going to be experimental to a certain extent, but I hope that it ends up being a good time for all involved. I love to write, and this is potentially a very good exercise.

Theme: This is a fantasy-inspired event in which the participants are going to be adventurers competing for treasure in a classic dungeon. (I originally thought to give this a Fire Emblem flavor, but I discovered that there is a whole board for that, so I am going more for old school Dungeons & Dragons here, including the Berserk-style high body count.) Only one adventurer can make it to the big prize at the end, and, while there are certain to be instances of cooperation, death waits around every corner. Adventurers are bound to trick and kill each other, but there is also no shortage of monsters, traps, and the like.

Signing Up: If you sign up, please post your Game FAQs posting name, followed by a Dungeons & Dragons-style character class. You may also include a brief character background, fantasy race (if humans are not your thing), preferred weapon (or spells), personality quirk, etc., but do not go overboard.

I hope to have all slots filled before I officially start the game on March 1, but I will create filler characters -- or take suggestions, provided they do not go off the deep end -- for any slots not filled by then. Here are several folks who offered to play in the previous Battle Royale topic:

1. Archmage007, Wizard
2. Ha21nagamas, Ranger
3. LinkPizza, Bard
4. Stupid Pirate Guy, Druid
5. Melon_Master, (No Class Selected Yet)

Looking forward to seeing who wants to play, and I am always happy to have questions, comments, etc.
