Ive moved on in terms of every other aspect of my life but you dont just forget you were abused. This isnt the same as a break up but you still like that person. That sucks but you move on. This is emotional trauma. Take a person who had a traumatic experience with a dog and is now scared of dogs, a person who had a bad fall as a kid and is now terrified of heights etc. same thing. I was emotionally abused and now no matter what I do it sits with me so I cant date anymore. Its terrifying. Also doesnt help that the one time I tried dating since then she ended up being a stalker leaving me missed calls and messages all fucking day long.
