That's the part people get confused about

The US did not bomb the shit out of Japan to "protect US soldiers from a brutal ground war" the US government does not and never has given a single fuck about soldiers.

They did it because they feared Russia

I agree that theres a good chance that they used the bomb at least in part as a show of force to Russia - but its stupid to throw it out there as if its an unquestionable fact.
