Following the law to a T would be impractical and unhelpful in a number of situations, not just immigration. Deporting the Dreamers doesn't have a public interest that merits its cruelty, IMO. Unless you support fines for everybody who goes 5 mph over the speed limit and jail time for internet pirates, you don't believe in the absolutist vision of the law you claim ITT I like how you equate illegally entering a country with downloading a song. If theyre being productive and noncriminals then lets fastlane them to citizenship so they can be even more productive I don't want to set a precedent for citizenship by breaking a law. It's too bad we don't have millions of conservative eastern Europeans here illegally as well. Theyre here and been here for years.
