Videogames are more productive than tv and movies.

At least more cerebral videogames force you to actually think and absorb information. Although with map markers, magic gps and stuff this is rare and alot of AAA cater to the braindead segment of society that hates thinking.

You're wrong on that though | If you're watching any sort of entertainment that involves storytelling | Your brain will have to be actively engaged to enjoy the experience
You will have to pay attention to names, faces, location,s, etc
Then you have to unconsciously connect dots to understand the story, and the most important part of all is that your brain will try to extrapolate some meaning from what you're watching, while in a game, your brain is busier with your performance to waste time thinking about what is going on in the story

It is the same with alot more depth with real videogames.

Like finding water chip in fallout. Or the quests in morrowind. Like you have to pay attention to landmarks, talking to people, you have to actually investigate stuff.

But the recent trend of following quest marker and other crutches has made videogaming dumber than it should be.
