why is it that when Balancelost, FF_redux or scar says it's all sunshine and rainbows, people go "well, he's actually from Sweden so he must be right"

yet when i, another guy from Sweden disagree with them, it's more often ignored?

Hey! It is all sunshine and rainbows!
Remember that time where I linked (and translated excerpts from) a BR report finding that immigrants were over-represented in violent crime? I did that (oh and btw when I did, CEs_EFG couldn't shut up through multiple topics about how the study was ten years old, even though it literally admitted immigrants were over-represented). I also translated an excerpt from another BR report explaining how they had noticed an increase in gang rapes specifically committed by young, foreign men. I forget if the report explicitly stated they were refugees or just immigrants.
I'm happy to acknowledge the facts. But I'm not interested in cherry-picking the facts to suit a specific, anti-immigrant agenda. For example, the most common rape in Sweden with more than one rapist is still done by Swedes, typically two or more guys at a party. See, the thing that irks me with a lot of the people who make noise about immigrants and rape is that they seem to think it's wrong not because it's something women shouldn't be subjected to, but because it's immigrants doing it. A terrific example would be Joakim Lamotte, who spends his time either frollicking in particularly gruesome rape cases, or undermining and libeling people who work with this shit all the time. People who spend their careers and their free time working with victims, with preventive efforts, going around to schools trying to actually make change. Those are the kinds of people he regularly libels, which instantly results in them getting tons and tons of hate, threats, etc. because they don't care enough about immigrant rape specifically. Now sure, I don't doubt that some (or even many) of the people who are worried about immigrants raping their way through Europe have the best intentions, but I don't really care for such carefully constructed narratives, because in the wake of them, anyone who dares to suggest that it might be a bigger, more fundamental issue, gets viciously attacked.

Sorry for the mini rant, I think you see where I'm going with this. And honestly, while it really is all sunshine and rainbows, I've been happy to admit that it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
