The modern GOP denies climate change as a problem, it says even an expansion of background checks is an unconscionable infringement on the second amendment, and at a time of record inequality it has sought to slash taxes on the rich and programs for the poor. There's no virtue in hearing out both sides when one of the sides is wrong. Now, this criticism of Republicans is not to praise Democrats, who largely suck.
