How about the fact that 90% of my school life was spent getting bullied, and I was the one that got punished because it was easier than disciplining the bullies?


I would be intrigued to hear what constituted being bullied, and how they punished you if there was no wrong-doing.

I have 100% had to punish students who reacted to bullying as opposed to the bullies because I can only act on what I see and have proof of. Thus I tell every class I'm in not to engage with the antagonistic behaviour of others, because if I spot you retaliating, I have to punish you.

One day on the way home from school, three other boys cornered me, hit me with rulers and slammed me into a wall. I pushed past one of them to get away from them.

I was the only one of the four punished. I was given detention and made to write a formal apology.

That's one example.
