Actions speak louder than words, and this has been their behavior for the last several decades.
This sounds exactly like the arguments that lead to the "justification" of preemptive strikes. Going to war with them is the WORST thing we can do, therefore striving for peace is the best thing we can do, no matter how difficult it will be
Hell no, a pre-emptive strike would be a mistake of the century in my opinion.
But it's not a cookie cutter "They just want world peace because they sent some girls to the Olympics" scenario, either. It's probably the most complex and delicate geopolitical issues in the world. It's not magically over just because of what amounts to a political publicity stunt.
Nobody's saying it is. But it's like training a child or a dog. When they do something good you reward that and play along. Encourage that behavior. ---
