People saying 100k a year isn't rich are utterly delusional. That's more than 80 percent of people in the United States alone and probably more than 90 percent in the world. 100k a year is more than most people who have ever lived have or will ever make.
According to this logic, someone making $7 per hour is rich since most of the world makes like what, 50 cents per hour? What a stupid argument.
Yes they are actually. That's called logic. A person that makes significantly more money than another is rich in comparison to them.
Logic also involves looking at the CoL...
Even factoring for COL a person making 100k a year should still easily be able to save 1500 a month which is more than what 93% of the world's population earns not even accounting for their COL at all.
Saving 1500 a month does not make you rich at all.
Comparative to the 93% of the population of the world that only earns that much or less total, it absolutely does.
That is a stupid measurement because it ignores other variables like cost of living. It is incomplete.
