Persona 5 says hi. It has universally been received as one of, if not, the best JRPG of all time and it sold like hot cakes in Japan and in the West. While P5 did well, I wouldnt exactly say it sold like hot cakes. Its sold 2 million worldwide with all of its critical acclaim. FFXV, on the other hand, sold close to 7 million with mediocre reviews. Thats over three times as many as P5, and P5 was an outlier as far as turn-based JRPGs go, as Lathissamus noted.
