Or just give them less incentive to do better for themselves by giving them the bare minimum to survive? Thing is, you're assuming successful people work harder and smarter than unsuccessful people. That's not true. People of all sorts work hard, study hard, etc. and many are not rich. Sheer chance is the greatest influence on how successful you are. So I don't believe there is much evidence for your claim that people would have less incentive to do better. --- There are some things where I just bypass critical thinking. - ROD ...
