He didn't appear in the comics til decades after it started. Rushing to venom is what killed the original trilogy. Venom is not as great as people think and he is not supposed to be an early villain. It's been years since Venom has been seen. The first time he's back, he should be seen with Spidy in the MCU, so they can expand him and go the anti-hero route. Instead we're getting this half baked thing where Venom does and doesn't exist in the MCU, cutting off his potential.
