Most of my days these days are spent just monitoring the network. 99% of the time the network is up. So unless a user is having trouble, someone needs help getting on wifi, or someone's desk is being set up, I'm mostly working on back end stuff that doesn't take much time to do or nothing at all. I have some major projects I'm working on, but I'm in a waiting period at the moment on all of them. 1) Finishing the backup MPLS - Waiting on scheduling for the last two data center installations 2) Getting Google Fiber internet installed at two buildings in Austin - Waiting on the facilities department to tell me whether I need to work with a building management contact or if I can just do it 3) Rolling out wired 802.1x for the corporate office - This is gonna be a really slow process to make sure it's done right.
