Christians are seen as a "power group," so left leaning folks (especially young ones) feel like they have complete freedom to attack them the same way they do with whites, men, rich people, etc.

You'll notice the criticisms of Islam are never quite as loud and definitive from these same people, despite the fact that religion is causing a lot more harm in the world today.

I'm not anti-Christian. But what harm has Islam caused me specifically?

I don't know why you're trying to dress "People complain more about things that are more present in their lives" up as some liberal/conservative split, especially considering how many of the edgy atheists on CE are right wing.
