Well, it seems a lot of anime involve super powered individuals take on oppressive empires, overwhelming foes, or fictional militaries doing cool shit. That's like conservative fantasy 101, isn't It?

I mean, I can see how some shonen anime especially would be appealing to the ideal conservative mindset. An individual, or small group of individuals, defeat an overwhelming enemy force through their own hard work, talent, and determination.

We see that kinda thing in lots anime: Dragon Ball, Gurren Lagann, Kill La Kill, Gundam, S-Cry-D, etc.

True, but also Japan also has a very glorified military history. Japanese nationalism heightened in WW2, but unlike the Germans, Japanese people are still allowed to be a bit nationalistic.
