TopicWhat're the driving forces behind the hatred and lies about Damore and Peterson?

That's James Damore who is the subject of the Google memo clusterfuck, and professor Jordan Peterson aka Canadian Jesus. Peterson has obviously been in the spotlight far more so the lies about him are a bit broader, but just as refutable.

Tbh the lies and hatred towards Peterson are a bit less troubling to me for two reasons, 1) its actually helped spread his message to more people that are dedicated to upholding the truth and 2) it's mostly just your normal partisan hackery/ biased ignorance. What really bothers me about the Damore nonsense is how many people refused to even look up what the man actually said and instead bought into this completely fabricated narrative that he's some misogynistic d bag who used "bro science" to say that women are dumber than men and suck at movement was pretty easy to write off as a fluke occurrence, so I was pretty comfortable in my belief that we liberals were the defenders of truth and scientific fact while conservatives were the climate change denying, conversion therapy loving, conspiracy theory enthusiasts/ religious fundamentalists who were the only obstacle between us and a perfect society (obviously hyperbole, but you get the general gist of my views.). But with this new liberal generation, I guess they'd be called neo liberals? It seems like it's becoming more and more common to see science challenged if not completely thrown out the window if it challenges a leftist's belief, and now it's any facts at all can be ignored of they're ignored loudly enough. Damore's memo is a perfect example of this. And Peterson's crusade against anyone and anything that is untruthful being met with such a ferocious response shows just how deep this pathology runs.

So while it was completely ridiculous when Conservatives claimed that Obama's election signaled.the end of racism, it seems as though liberals were right to say that Trumps election brought us into a "post fact America*. I just didn't know that they'd be contributing to that quite as much.

Thoughts?! Comments? Hatred? Trolling?
