There is no good reason to keep a gun at home or on your person, aside from in very narrow and incredibly controlled purposes

So self defense isn't a good reason?

Genuinely no, if some is attacking you then a gun is more likely to get you killed, giving them what they want will keep you alive, if they want you dead, then a gun will not save you as they will have shot/stabbed you before you know and can get your gun.

As for home defence, you are much more likely to be killed by it, than save your life with it

Yeah, this is a terrible argument.

First of all, I'm not giving someone my shit. They're going to have to fight me for it. Do you tell a person whose being raped that they should just lie back and take it too? Secondly, if they want me dead then I absofuckinglutely want a gun. At least then I have a chance. I don't know why you think I wouldn't be able to get to it.

And no, I'm not much more likely to get killed by my gun than saved by it. Statistics are incredibly disingenuous on this.

First of all, I'm not gonna shoot myself. So suicide, which is where most of this comes from, is off the table.

Secondly, I'm not stupid and I don't have kids. So having a gun for myself makes sense. Not only do I like to protect myself like I have the god damn right to. I like shooting. It's fun. And No, I'm not gonna pay 1000 bucks for a gun to let someone keep it in their garage.

this.

gun or not, i'm fighting the dude who's trying to jack my shit.
