There are signs that you're gonna throw up a while before you actually do. This isn't always true at all. I've had multiple times where I felt completely fine and then 5-10 mins before I throw up I start getting that "uh oh I'm gonna throw up" feeling in my stomach. And there have been multiple times after I've thrown up a few times I feel fine again, aside from gross for just throwing up. 5-10 minutes is plenty of time to run to a toilet.
