I believe the current Donkey Kong WR has legitimate witnesses though. Even in speedrunning there have been multiple recent cases of runs getting exposed. One guy recently got exposed for playing prerecorded Yoshi's Island runs (which were likely tool-assisted) on stream with his controller cam on, and pretending he was running it live.
