I wish people can be more educated about guns and I wish guns weren't romanticized like they are, but I'm against a total ban. People should be able to defend themselves, and I do agree with the founding fathers in that the people should have access to guns to fight a corrupt/totalitarian government. People find that idea laughable, but would you rather have a slim chance or no chance?

Each political "side" (in a general, stereotypical sense) seems to be completely backwards when it comes to gun. Liberals should be more for guns. They know how the police and military can't be entirely trusted, but many of them think only they should have guns. On the other side, conservatives (again I'm heavily generalizing) have a strong trust in authority yet claim to own guns for fighting said authority just in case. A lot of these very hardcore 2nd amendment conservatives actively defend the abuses of authority and government all the time and would more than likely call an insurrection terrorism.
