Because people don't want to pay 100x more for a solar panel. Low-cost labor in production is good because it means greater adoption of solar and more jobs in the installation and maintenance industry here at home.

If you have ever consumed anything that said "Made in China", you have no room to talk.

All "Made in China" does for outsourced manufacturing is increase profit margins for domestic businesses. Allowing the Chinese to directly dump their cheap goods here with no way to mitigate it creates a glut that threatens all non-Chinese producers and jobs (unless your whole business is simply installing panels). If you can't grasp that distinction, then you have no further business addressing this topic.
