I don't think white having better removal really has any causal connection to green getting the better creatures, they just come from the same source, which is that the color pie says that's how it works..

I mean, the reason the colour pie works that way from a design rather than flavour perspective is that theoretically green can handle the other colours creatures in combat. If as white, your have more removal, you "need" creatures that win in combat less and vice-versa, if your creatures can't win combat, you need to interact with creatures outside of combat.
