You could argue both are statistics. It's not white people stealing the black hair products after all.

Why is one form of discrimination allowed but not the other?

1) You don't know that. White people could be stealing them to resell at flea markets.

2) One is based on the fact that the product is being stolen at a higher rate than other products. Hell, it's pretty racist that you automatically assume black people are the only ones stealing it.

I don't assume it. The store owners do. That's why loss prevention tends to follow black people. I assume innocent until proven guilty for everyone I meet
