That doesnt matter at all - his criticisms are about drugs within school zones and not within schools themselves, which is a hugely important distinction to make when discussing this. Considering these laws are about protecting children and they are enforced when there are no children present inside the homes of adults rather than at a school, yes, its an important distinction.

So if a guy were selling drugs across the street from a school, and the police didn't happen to catch him selling drugs to a child at the time, you don't believe he should get a harsher sentence?

Do you think thats the same thing as selling drugs in a school?

I think the difference is too trivial to worry about.

"Look, he's not selling drugs in the school, he's on the sidewalk!"

But thats not what the video discussed either. You cant handle this as an honest conversation for some reason.

Kids will (and do) walk several blocks from school to buy drugs. Ergo, harsher penalties for selling drugs within that radius is completely fair for keeping schools drug-free. Do you disagree?
