The 18-year-old was hauled off the train by the police officer after he said she was "disobeying" him.

A woman was brutally hauled off a train by a policeman because she had her feet on the seat opposite.

Bethany Nava, 18, was riding on the train to meet her mum when the LAPD officer demanded she get out of her seat.

On the video, filmed by a fellow passenger, the police officer says: I already told you what to do.

You disobeyed me. Youre getting off the train.

As the officer tries to haul Bethany off the train by her arm the teenager says: "I paid to be on this train! Stop! Let me go!"

Bethany desperately holds onto a rail in the train to stop the officer dragging her off.

He drags her off as she pleads: "My phone's on the train!"

Brock Bryan recorded the 10-minute video of the incident that has had more than seven million views.

Over her foot? Really? Bryan questions the officer in the video.

Thats really abuse of power, officer. Over her foot on a seat? She wasnt blocking anybody else from sitting down.

As the incident escalates Bethany explains she doesn't have a form of ID and was going to meet her mum at the Department of Motor Vehicles to get one as she has just turned 18.

The officer even threatens to arrest someone watching on: "You're next buddy, you don't get to tell me what to do.".

Bethany was arrested for being loud and boisterous on a train.

Another woman, Selina Lechuga, 22, who tried to defend Nava was also arrested for allegedly spitting on an officer.

The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a force-of-use investigation into the incident, reports the New York Daily News.
