That was really fucking pathetic, right up there with giving obama a nobel peace prize. in the 1970s it was predicted and publicized we'd all be starving and run out of oil and precious metals by 2000. when time proved it hilariously wrong, they moved the goal posts. I think they were a group of scientists out of MIT who called themselves club of rome or some shit. i think they pushed back their 'prediction' to 2070 or some stupid shit.
