I enjoyed The Last of Us for one playthrough, but I didn't think it was nearly as great as everyone said, but it was better than the Uncharted games I thought.
Dark Souls. I just didn't get into it.
The problems with last of us' gameplay are the same problems uncharted suffers from imo. Naughty dog makes very visually pleasing games with superb stories, but then has the most ho hum gameplay possible. The gunplay in both uncharted and last of us is some of the worst in gaming imo. Last of us at least doesn't rely on the gunplay like uncharted does.
I think that's the only reason I enjoyed it for a single playthrough. I wouldn't say it had good gameplay, but Uncharted was just so much ass cramed in my face I couldn't stand it where as TLOU was like more spaced out?
I thought the story in TLOU was a lot better than the generic shit in Uncharted too, but that only lasts for a single playthrough.
It was decent, I guess I'm saying, where as I thought Uncharted games were always over produced garbage.
Ironically, and oddly, the last of us multiplayer is actually fun, even despite the ass gunplay. ---
