No... No they weren't, my friend. I think you're describing the events that occurred shortly before they looked at the list that gun owners signed their names off on so they'd know whose guns to seize first.

And I'm not suggesting this will be the U.S., Jen, but your idea to reduce gun violence rivals the cliche gun control "McDonald's makes people fat so we should ban McDonald's" argument.

Your proposed solution is like the grade school field trip that gets cancelled for everyone because one dingus fucked it up. Over 99% of gun owners are law abiding citizens. It's only when one unstable person snaps does it get exploited all over the news.
