Topic	I just bought Gloomhaven.

For people who don't want to have to sift through books and books of rules for stupid shit or deal with finicky DMs, the game streamlines the dungoneering process and removes most of the roleplaying aspects so that it's more of a straight up board game. I wouldn't call it a dumbed down D&D. I would say Descent is much more like a dumbed down D&D. Gloomhaven is D&D thematically, that's for sure, but it plays more like a hybrid of Euro games and thematic games. The combat is more like a puzzle. You don't throw dice and do stat checks. You manage your card hand and figure out the best plays to make.
