No one is bemoaning that they those people can't judge any more, and in the past when it's been brought to light that someone has that in their past, they've been decertified. The issue is that not all judges are store employees. It's like requiring Gamefaqs to run background checks on their mods. For some, prohibitively costly, and to fix a non-existent problem. It's not as if we're talking about cases where players were molested/raped at events by these judges It's not so much Jeremy that caused the checks to be required, it was Wizards that set the precedent of banning people with criminal pasts. Jeremy just called attention to it (and the added bonus of them being judges) as payback. The guy is a d-bag but this is something that Wizards should have been on top of a long time ago.
