And he's never seen a transwoman in person or really heard about them. You could argue he's not homophobic since he's not scared to cup male genitalia just to check if it's there or not. He doesn't give a shit because he's an alpha. For the most part he's a noble, honest, and principled guy (yet imperfect) who suddenly finds himself in a strange land where people are either two-faced, conceal their true nature, and things are not what they seem.
