It's just so much fun to look around this alien world and they give you a ridiculous jump that lets you ascend mountains with ease. It works in its favour because all you really want to do in X is inch your way forward, trying to survive as you get further and further in trying to unlock check points or whatever. The quests and main story and music and hub city are all riddled with flaws but screw that. This game is great.
