Critics of them say that they're cities that protect illegal immigrants by refusing to co-operate with federal agencies. Supporters of them say that it fosters a relationship between local law enforcement and the community, allowing local crimes to be reported / investigated without scaring away illegal immigrants or people who associate themselves with them. Like everything there is no clear answer. It is interesting how liberals and conservatives both switch on the state vs federal stuff when it comes to this, however. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
