Maybe you should get over it. When someone says black people calling themselves the n-word is dumb and perpetuates the slur's longevity, you and a lot of other people always get riled up about it and jump to all these conclusions.

A) I'm not riled up at all.
B) It's very likely that the instances aren't related and people are getting on you about something else.
C) Maybe you should try understanding the other side's qualms with your statement if you want to make any progress.
D) I'm black. I've gotten over the existence of the n-word a long time ago. Maybe one day, you can get over it too.
E) I don't disagree that gratuitous usage of the word sounds banal.
