| INTERWEBUSER 01/15/18 5:33:48 PM #1: | Trump said very clearly that in order for any DACA deal to get his signature, "amnesty"/legal status must be restricted to the subset of illegal immigrants who were brought to the US as children. Then guess what the Democrats did? They proposed to grant amnesty to DACA parents - the exact people who caused this problem - in the form of 3-year work permits. Why 3 years? I'm guessing they're confident Trump will not be reelected, and a Dem president/congress can grant them a "pathway to citizenship" in 2021.
