It was probably the beset 16 bit RPG of it's time, so it's worth a look.

There was a (slightly) upgraded version released digitally on PSN (The PS1 version, which has a few animated cut scenes) that's easy to get and has better quality audio.

It's aged better then Chrono Cross.

Of note, people saying it's easy actually mean there's less emphasis on grinding.

The grind is still there, it just isn't as predominate as it is in other titles. To many people grind = hard. Never got that myself. Nothing hard about running in circles for a few hours to farm XP.

I don't grind at all and I got stuck about halfway through. There's a boss that apparently your supposed to put him to sleep to beat him easier. I tried beating him straight up and got floored repeatedly.
