I've still never gotten a good explanation for why these kids deserve citizenship before the kids who have already applied for citizenship legally do. Because these people have already lived here (through no choice of their own) built up a life, a family. Have a job, and an education in a lot of cases. Their "home" country is as foreign to them as it is to us almost. They were taken as little kids and have no real ties. Why does living in the US longer make them more deserving though? Why punish the people immigrating legally because their parents decided to obey the law rather than sneak in? Blue_Inigo posted...
