It is, so I don't see why we should turn our nose up at immigrants who want to come here for a better life. Hell, that idea is pretty much the core of what built this country. He doesn't seem to care about them being immigrants, he just doesn't like where they come from. That's pretty fucked up tbh.
We have no obligation to let anyone in. Haiti, whether it's politically correct or not, doesn't produce upstanding citizens who want to assimilate into the US. A lot of countries first world countries have merit based immigration. It's not "fucked up" to have a standard of immigration. The government has every right to determine who comes into the country. Your subjective sense on that matter is irrelevant
