The gameplay is an excruciatingly obvious series of fetch quests. There are three branching paths from a central room. One path is so dark, you can't go in. One path is filled with toxic gas. The last path is clear. You go through that last one until you find a gas mask, then you go back to the center. You go through the toxic path until you find night vision goggles, then you go back to the center. You go to the dark path until you find the last dude you need to save (obviously, he dies seconds after), then it's a series of hallways until you finish the game.

And this is more nitpicky, but that gas path is kind of obnoxious because you apparently need a giant indicator that there's toxic gas even if you have the filter. So the screen is filled with gas and little flying bits which makes it a pain in the ass to see anything. This wasn't helped by the HUD; there's a bit at the bottom center of the screen which had me constantly checking to see if something was sitting in front of the TV.

The last boss is new at least.
